Introduction to Transfer Admissions

Transfer Admissions (2+1+1) Program

When a student from an overseas three-year junior college in a software-related major completes two years of study, a one-year training program at our university, and graduates from the junior college (MOU/MOE required), the student can transfer to the fourth year of Global IT major of the Department of Software at our university and graduate after completing one year of degree program education for the major. During the one year of training at our university, the student will receive intensive Korean language education and take preparatory courses for the major. To transfer to the 4th year of our university, the following conditions must be satisfied.

  • Korean language proficiency TOPIK level 3 or higher
  • Completion of 4 preparatory courses for the major (C language practical programming, Java practical programming, system programming 1 and 2)
  • Graduation certificate from the junior college

After transferring to the 4th year, the student must complete 40 credits in 10 courses and obtain TOPIK level 4 or higher to graduate.
The 10 courses include 8 courses for the major in the form of intensive education and 2 non-major courses in English and Business.
The intensive education courses for the major are as follows.

* Mobile Programming Project, Domain Analysis and Design Project, Network Programming Project, Internet-of-Things Project,
Machine Learning & Data Mining Project, Big Data Analysis Project, Web Programming Project, Capstone Design Project, etc.
Transfer Admissions (2.5+1.5) Program

When a student in a software-related major from an overseas three-year junior college completes 2.5 years of study, a 6-month training program at our university, and then graduates from the junior college (MOU/MOE required), the student can transfer to the 4th year of Global IT major of the Department of Software at our university and graduate after completing one year of degree program education for the major. During the training period at our university, the Korean language education and preparatory courses for the major are the same as the Transfer Admissions (2+1+1) Program.

Transfer Admissions (3+1) Program

When a student in a software-related major from an overseas (three-year or more) college completes 3 years of study and obtains an associate's degree or bachelor's degree, and transfers to the 4th year of Global IT major of the Department of Software at our university, the student can graduate after completing one year of degree program education for the major.

* Students who meet the Korean language entrance requirements (TOPIK level 3) can transfer to the 4th year after their programming skills have been tested and acknowledged. However, if the student's programming skills have not been acknowledged, then they must complete a 6-month training program.
Transfer Admissions (2+2) Program

When a student in a software-related major from an overseas four-year college completes two years of study, the student can transfer to the 3rd year of Global IT major of the Department of Software at our university and graduate after completing two years of degree program education for the major. (MOU/MOE required)

* Students who meet the Korean language entrance requirements (same as the requirements for freshman admission) can transfer to the 4th year after completing the Global IT major preparatory training for (8 weeks) only.
Transfer Admissions (2+1+2) Program
(non-IT major students)

When a student in a non-IT-related major from an overseas three-year junior college completes two years of study, a one-year training program at our university, and graduates from the junior college (MOU/MOE required), the student can transfer to the 3rd year of Global IT major of the Department of Software at our university and graduate after completing one year of degree program education for the major.
To transfer to the 3rd year of our university, the following conditions must be satisfied:

  • Korean language proficiency TOPIK level 3 or higher
  • Completion of 4 preparatory courses for the major
  • Graduation certificate from the junior college
* Students who have passed level 3 of the Korean language proficiency are exempted from the one-year Global IT training program and can only take the 8-week preparatory training for the major before transferring to the third year.
