- A student must have applied for a national scholarship, or else they are not eligible for this scholarship. The student must have passed the family income level assessment by Korea Student Aid Foundation (family income level must be between zero and eight)
- This scholarship allows the student to receive multiple benefits from the national and academic scholarships within the maximum tuition range.
- Separate application is not required for the Ajou Welfare Scholarship. Each department has different application requirements for the Ajou Hope Scholarship; hence, you must check with your department.

- Students must have earned 12 or more credits in the previous semester and have an average GPA of 2.00 or higher to be eligible for all scholarships, except for scholarships for which separate grade standards are applied. Students who have exceeded the limit for the number of semesters are not eligible for these scholarships.
- The purpose of academic support expenses is to support expenses required for academic activities other than tuition reduction or exemption.
- The cost-of-living scholarship is one that supports students with an amount other than the tuition. There are Academic Encouragement scholarships, Award scholarships, Work-based scholarships, Leader Scholarships, Self-development Scholarships, Specialized Scholarships, Dean’s Recommendation Scholarships, Overseas Training Scholarships, Volunteer Scholarships, Dormitory Expense Scholarships, Upright Scholarships, Research Scholarship, etc.
