Abstract : Recently, generative AI methods are developing at a rapid pace, and there are increasing cases of research/development or application of the technology to products in the industry.
In line with this, NAVER Webtoon, which claims to be a storytech platform, is also researching various creation models to pursue innovation in the creative process and fun elements for readers.
In this presentation, we would like to introduce the generative AI model research and two products (webtoon mee, background conversion) conducted by NAVER Webtoon, and learn about the recent research trend of generative AI models.
Bio : Namhyuk Ahn is an AI researcher at NAVER WEBTOON, specializing in computer vision with a focus on image generation tasks. He obtained my Ph.D. from Ajou University under the guidance of Prof. Kyung-Ah Sohn, where he primarily worked on image enhancement and restoration projects, including image super-resolution. Currently, his research interests lie in developing user-friendly content creation tools by generating, translating, or manipulating images based on user-guided information.
